    This building consists of Planning and Management Division (Management Planning Team, Finance Team, General Affairs/Promotion Team, Labor Management Cooperation Team, Human Resources Team, Procurement Team) and Technical Division responsible for the design of ships (Basic Design Team, Structural Design Team, Hull Design Team, Hull Outfitting Design Team, Machinery Design Team, Electric Design Team etc.).
  • Painting Shop

    µµÀå °øÀå µµÀå °øÀå
    This is the place where the surface of blocks is cleared and then is painted except the joint areas in order to weld and connect these areas between blocks for the next step.
    Toxic chemicals and dust caused by the painting work are purified before they are discharged to the air. In addition, K Shipbuilding has indoor painting shops with the facility which can regulate temperature and humidity because the adhesive strength of paints largely depends on them.
  • Pre-outfitting Shop

    This is the place where various outfitting items including pipes, wires, erectrical equipment and devices in engine room are manufactured and installed to increase productivity.
    The machinery, pipes and devices for sign and ventilation are grouped and fitted on blocks before erection stage.
  • Steel Stock Yard

    This is the place where steel plates are stored for a certain period of time. It consists of magnetic cranes, jib cranes and roller conveyers to move steel plates to the cutting shop.
    As the first stage of shipbuilding, the steel materials are classfied and transported according to each ship's specification and the process flow.
  • Pre-treatment Plant

    The steel materials delivered from the steel stock yard go through shop blasting and antirust painting processes in the pre-treatment plant.
  • DRY DOCK

    DRY DOCK DRY DOCK
    The dry dock, which is 385m in length, 74m in width, 11m in depth, can build two (2) 70,000 ton class full sized ships and two (2) half sized ships simultaneously. K Shipbuilding holds the world's first record to build twenty seven (27) ships in one (1) dock in 2007.

    This building consists of Production Support Team, Painting Team, Outfitting Team, and Trial Team to carry out the outdoor production of ship building work.

    This building consists of Production Management Team, Cutting Team, Assembly Team, Erection Team, and QM Team, which are responsible for the preceding production of the ship construction work.
  • Hull Shop

    The Steel cutting shop uses the plasma cutting machine to cut steel plates based on the design. After being cut, steel plates are transferred to the assembly plants.
    Small steel pieces are melted and welded in the small part assembly shop and transferred to assembly shop to manufacture a large-sized assembly block.
  • BHD Assembly Shop

    The BHD assembly shop is where the bulkhead used to divide a cargo tank is manufactured.
  • Block Inspection Shop

    This is the place where the supervisors of the Buyer and Class inspect the condition of the welding and the accuracy of the block structure.

    The No.2 P.E Site is where the blocks assembled and coated are made larger before erection on the dock.

    Through the implementation of the National Human Resources Development Consortium project, K Shipbuilding's facilities and instructors are used to develop technical skills, train human resources, and establish cooperative partnerships among small businesses.
  • Goliath Crane

    There are one (1) 1,500 ton gantry crane, which is called goliath crane, one (1) 600 ton grantry crane and two (2) 450 ton grantry cranes.
